February has arrived! Boyd Buchanan Elementary will be interested to learn what Punxsutawney Phil, the Pennsylvania groundhog, predicts about the arrival of spring! We will certainly feel blessed by any timetable or weather that God sends to us during this new month. February will also be a time to celebrate Black History, American Presidents and the friendship of Valentine’s Day. Let the learning and enjoyment of February begin!
BOOK FAIR Our Elementary library will host a Scholastic Book Fair during the week of February 21-24! Mrs. Henderson and Mrs. Halstead will be sending you more details!
2012-2013 RE-ENROLLMENT
Re-enrollment forms for the 2012-2013 school year were mailed out in January. If you have not received your forms, please contact the Business Office at 508-2212! Thank you!
SHARING SMILES WITH SENIORS Our February student service project will benefit local nursing homes. Please allow your child to bring a Crossword Puzzle book or a magazine and place it in our blue collection tubs! The Ronald McDonald House is thrilled to soon receive our boxes of donated toiletries that your children supplied during the month of January! Thank you!
ALONSO Please remember to bring 25 cents or more this Friday, February 3rd, to cover Alonso’s monthly support and his birthday presents. One of our BBS students donated $50 for Alonso to have his first birthday party at age 11! My husband and I will be flying to Mexico next weekend to deliver the presents and be in charge of the party. Alonso will be so surprised and happy!

GRANDPARENTS’ MAILING ADDRESS Our Elementary Parent Council asks that you update your Grandparent Information if your Grandparents did not receive an invitation to our 2011 fall event. The Parent Council is preparing invitations for our 2012 spring Auction and Dinner. Forms are available in the Elementary Office.
2012-2013 TUITION PAYMENT PROGRAM
BBS has partnered with FACTS Management Company for our 2012-2013 tuition payment program. Returning families enrolled in FACTS during the 2011-12 school year will be automatically re-enrolled for the 2012-13 school year. New families to BBS who will be paying tuition monthly will need to enroll by going to our Tuition page of the school website. Click on FACTS Payment Plan to start the process. The deadline to apply is May 15. Students will not be officially enrolled at BBS until their FACTS agreement has been completed. New and returning families paying annually or semi-annually do not need to enroll with FACTS for tuition payments. Thanks and let us know if you have questions.
