Bible Instruction

The middle and high school Bible classes at Boyd-Buchanan have a carefully coordinated curriculum which will allow students to study every book of the New Testament before graduation.  Seventh and eighth grade middle school Bible classes are divided by gender, with boys and girls separated, while sixth grade Bible classes are mixed gender.  Beginning in ninth grade, girls are given the option of continuing in a “girls only” Bible class or choosing an integrated class.  “Elective” Bible classes are also offered to students beginning in tenth grade.  These classes include Dating, Marriage & the Family, Christian Ethics, Bible: Book of Books, World Religions, and Fundamentals of Faith.  All students are also required to complete a specified number of service hours each nine weeks as a part of the Bible curriculum.  All of our Bible classes attempt to help the student learn and apply the teachings of the Bible to their individual lives.  The ultimate goal of our study and application of these books to their individual lives is so that the student will develop more completely into the image of Jesus Christ (Romans 12:1, 2).
