College and Career Planning
www.ecampustours.com has a free assessment tool that offers guidance after high school. First, there is the Kuder Career Search with Person Match which will help you select career paths to explore by matching your interest, skills, and work values. (This will help in picking a major for college.) Second, there is a college planning section where you can take virtual tours of many campuses and help to compare and contrast your choices. Finally, there is a paying for college section where you can research various financial avenues. If you are interested in completing the Kuder career search, skills assessment or work values inventory stop by or email guidance for the “batch code” you will need to access the program.
The National Christian School Association and Oklahoma Christian University are seeking eligible juniors and seniors to be a part of an unforgettable week in London next June, complete with three hours college credit on completion of the trip. The total cost of the trip is $3740 and includes international airfare (from Atlanta), lodging, all admissions and most meals. UTC Mathematics Department Poster Competition
Deadline: February 28, 2009
Eligible: there are two sections- 9th-10th grades and 11th-12th grades.
Students complete a poster based on the theme “Mathematics in the Sciences and Business”.
Awards: 1st place=@200, 2nd place= $100, 3rd place=$50 in each category.
